ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENT

At Basin Stationery, we care about the environment and accept our responsibility to protect and conserve our precious environment for generations to come.  We are constantly looking for new and improved practices to help reduce waste and protect the environment. We have implemented a number of practices, both internally and externally:

For customers:

-          Our catalogue offers over 900 Environmentally Preferred Products (EPP)

-          Our catalogue and flyers are printed on recycled or FSC stocks

-          We pick up ink and toner cartridges for recycling or remanufacturing

-          We pick up our cardboard packaging for reuse or recycling

-          We package orders with reused boxes and shipping materials from our suppliers

-          All of our wooden skids and pallets are recycled.

-          We offer electronic invoices and statements to our customers

-          We offer electronic catalogue and flyer programs

At our office:

-          We recycle all cardboard, paper and wood

-          Our machines are energy star compliant

-          Staff are provide with cups / glasses to eliminate paper cups and plastic glasses

-          All internal shredded paper is recycled

-          All employees participate in blue bin recycling programs.

-          Recycled paper, toners and EPP products are used internally

-          All pop can and bottles are recycled

-          Employee computers, monitors and non-security electrical systems are turned off at day-end

Our focus is on continuous training and improvement. At Basin Stationery, we ensure all staff receive training and are made aware of any new positive environmental initiatives.
